This summer, my girlfriend and I went camping in British Columbia and Alberta. One of our first stops was Nelson. We only stayed there for two nights, but still had enough time to explore the area. Our first day there, we decided to drive up the Kokanee Glacier Road. Not realizing this would be a bumpy road, we started our 16 kilometers (10 miles) journey with our old 2001 Honda Civic. An hour (!) later, we finally reached the point of interest this road had to offer: Gibson Lake. It’s a small lake, but at an elevation of 1,557 meters (5,109 feet) it offers a stunning view. I can’t think of a more Canadian view, can you?
